Presentation
Flexible Batch management
Effective management of flexible multi-stream and multi-product batch processes in the process industries, including life sciences, fine chemicals, food and beverage and consumer packaged goods (CPG). AVEVA Batch Management adheres to ISA-88 standards for batch control and provides guidance and control for both recipe management and batch execution. The control system-independent batch management software automates batch processes to ensure consistent quality according to recipe specifications and genealogy for a complete history.
AVEVA Batch management features
Electronic Batch Record (EBR)
The software provides a comprehensive batch execution and equipment history with a full product genealogy and material traceability record and comes with a comprehensive set of interactive web-based reports.
Traceability
Comprehensive material management facilitates process modeling and improves process efficiency. It enables the batch engine to manage flexible product paths and allows batches to be executed simultaneously, while all material flows are documented with detailed records for material traceability.
Flexible recipe management
Equipped with easy-to-use configuration tools, process engineers can quickly create or modify recipe sequences and formulas without having to be familiar with the underlying control systems. AVEVA Batch Management uses a defined interface to phase control blocks, eliminating the need to change control code when recipe procedures change.
Fast process modeling
Recipe management is based on the ISA-88 process model by defining the equipment and processing capabilities of the plant as well as the control and information requirements. Once the process model is defined, recipes can be easily created, modified and simulated without the need for lines of control code.
Cross-location standardization
The software is completely independent of the control system and enables recipe and batch management to be standardized across multiple plants. Recipes or recipe variations can be quickly adopted in the individual plants. Such standardization helps to streamline the new product introduction (NPI) process.
Compliance with regulations
Built-in role-based security and electronic signatures contribute to a comprehensive electronic batch record (EBR) that meets the requirements of industry regulations such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and cGMP (EudraLex, Volume 4, Appendix 11).
